Foundation beginner easy
Verbs express actions, events and states.
Foundation — The building blocks of English grammar.
1. Action verbs: run, write, eat. 2. State verbs: be, seem, know, love. 3. Main verbs carry meaning; helping (auxiliary) verbs form tenses: be, have, do, will. 4. Verbs change form for tense: go → went → gone. 5. Third-person singular adds -s in present simple: He goes.
Every complete sentence needs a finite verb. Choose the correct verb form to match the subject and the tense.
