Sentence Structure elementary medium
English relies on a fixed order: Subject – Verb – Object.
Sentence Structure — How sentences are built and transformed.
1. Statement: Subject + Verb + Object — She reads books. 2. Question: (Wh-word) + Auxiliary + Subject + Main verb — Where does she live? 3. Adjective before noun; adverb of manner after verb: She sings sweetly. 4. Place before time: She met him at the station yesterday. 5. Frequency adverbs before main verb, after "be": He often visits us; He is often late.
Unlike Hindi, English word order is fixed — rearranging words changes meaning. In questions the auxiliary moves before the subject.
