Tenses elementary easy
Habits, facts and routines in the present.
Tenses — Expressing time: present, past and future.
1. Form: base verb; third-person singular adds -s/-es — He works. 2. Negative: do/does + not + base — She does not smoke. 3. Question: Do/Does + subject + base — Do you play? 4. Uses: habits (I walk daily), facts (Water boils at 100°C), schedules (The train leaves at 6). 5. State verbs (know, like, believe) usually stay in simple, not continuous.
Use present simple for repeated actions and general truths. Do not use it for actions happening right now — that is present continuous.
